You know that streaming thing on Twitch I was telling you about? Here’s last week’s stream (but on YouTube). I talk way too much, so if you just want to mute it, throw on your favorite record and watch the drawing part, I won’t be offended…
Again, I’m aiming to stream some live drawing every Tuesday night at Twitch at 9:30 PM (PST). I am aware that that time is not ideal for most folks, so I’ll get those streams up on YouTube the next day. Also, if you just want to watch drawing without the looming threat of me addressing you personally, the videos stay available as VOD for some indeterminate span of time. I will also just record some of my drawing sessions (and not air them live) just to spackle up the schedule a bit. I would expect those to either be much less chatty, or much shorter and focused on some particular aspect of drawing or making comics that I want to focus on.
And, if you want to just avoid spending an hour in my sparkling company, here’s the end result of this session…
The prompt was “Sleep When You’re Dead,” and as I awkwardly explain in the video, it’s a reference to an Evan Dorkin comic strip. For the life of me, I can’t find the strip online right now, so that info is much less relevant and helpful. But the gag was that the cartoonist died at his drawing table, and his afterlife is just an eternity sitting at the same drawing table. For forever.
Anyhow, I expect to get better at the talking part as I get some reps in. Until that happens, I’ll be out here every Tuesday night fumbling around and trying to do something new! Hope to see you here, there, or anywhere really…
